Bridgetown

Bridgetown Meals on Wheels and the Blackwood Area Transport Service became part of Belong at Home in 2017. The merge offered an opportunity to keep the best aspects of Bridgetown’s local friendly services while improving efficiency and viability and allowing for growth into the future. 

Bridgetown Meals on Wheels was formed in 1977 and began delivering meals in April 1978. More than forty years later Meals on Wheels continues to have a strong volunteer base, some of our volunteers have been delivering meals for over 30 years!

In 2015 Bridgetown locals formed the Blackwood Area Transport Service to meet community needs for accessible and affordable transportation. Now under the Belong at Home banner this service helps our Bridgetown clients get to medical and other important appointments. With a wheel chair accessible vehicle, a local coordinator, and volunteers doing the driving, this remains an essential service provided by Belong at Home Bridgetown.
